This is a hybrid position based out of our Shaker Heights, OH office. This individual will perform a variety of moderately complex policy administration tasks in support of the underwriting department. Responsible for:Underwriting Support Reviewing insurance applications and other risk documentation. Entering policy and account information into appropriate systems for quoting new, renewal and midterm business. Understanding underwriting requirements to: competently triage and schedule requests from agents, customers and underwriters set up new and renewal submissions perform preliminary risk evaluation obtain necessary information needed to underwrite risks and address issues organize underwriting information to speed decision making on the part of the underwriter. Executing instructions from agents, customers and underwriters. Researching and resolving errors and issues. Responding to agent, customer and underwriter questions. Maintaining file organization, accuracy and completeness. Participating in departmental change processes and projects, such as user testing, documentation and quality control. Performing other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Education: Associate Degree or equivalent experience. Field of Study: Business or a related discipline. Experience: Generally, 0-2 years of related experience. Attention to detail, and strong written and oral communication skills. Skills in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
