Job Description Summary: This position is responsible for new products development processes from initial conceptualization through technical research/design/manufacture to product launch Job Description: Brainstorm ideas to develop new products. Study POS data, and sales analysis to have a good grasp of market need. Market research to understand/read current trends. Design sketches for new products, and obtain similar samples to begin sourcing. Get quotations and samples from vendors. Check quality and cost. Compare if we have reasonable COG. Create Smartsheet project, kickoff PPT, and quote comparison to officially submit newly launching items’ plan. Open CSR for package design. Brainstorm concepts and share them with the creative team. Constantly communicate with vendors to ensure the project gets going and production quality. Check the initial production schedule, ETA/ETD. Constantly communicate with other departments to inform any change, to issue PO, to approve new items and to promote the items with good strategy. Search for new qualified vendors. If a new vendor is found, submit a new vendor request and perform new vendor audit. Discuss and survey the product with consumers through vendors. Surveys could be done on many criteria, such as colors and functions of products. Complete system setup (SAP).
