Associate (Senior) w/ Kirkland & Ellis LLP (NY, NY). Work w/in the IP practice group, represent & advise companies on IP litigation, focusing on patent litigation in the life sciences sector. Requires JD or LLM, or foreign equiv. Reqs admission to the NY state bar. Reqs 2 yrs exp. as an Associate attorney at a global law firm focusing on IP litigation in the life sciences sector. Exp. must incl.: Conducting legal research & pre-suit analysis on life sciences patent litigation cases involving pharma compositions; Drafting court & discovery docs, incl. pleadings, briefs, contentions, discovery requests & responses, & correspondence to the Court, opposing counsel, & the client; Preparing witnesses for depositions in the field of pharma & life sciences, & drafting expert reports; Supporting senior attorneys & partners in preparing for court hearings, conferences, & client meetings; Conducting research on US laws and regulations on patent matters, analyzing IP rights issues, and preparing legal advice memos; Drafting advice on IP infringement & invalidity issues; & conducting IP due diligence.
