Description:

2 years of experience in the job offered or as a research associate/scientist in a laboratory environment. Requires knowledge of carbohydrate-active enzymes (CAZyme), enzymology, protein biochemistry, biological lab techniques, analytical instrumentation, statistical packages (JMP or R studio), and assay development (UV-VIS, fluorescent assays, or analytical chromatography) on liquid and solid substrates. Requires 2 years of hands-on laboratory experience to develop new chemical and biological assays to assess microbial phenotypes and enzyme performance, or characterize proteins from industrial host strains.
