JOB SUMMARY: The Product Training Specialist serves as the subject matter expert for a core set of Simpleview products and/or services, using that expertise to develop and deliver educational content that helps our customers to maximize their outcomes from using our products. This content is provided in the form of product documentation, training materials, course content, webinars, presentations, knowledge base and sales and marketing collateral. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to correspond with internal management, team members and clients to ensure that training documentation and presentations concerning Simpleview’s content management system (CMS), customer relationship management system (CRM) and other products are accurate, timely and of high quality. The Associate Product Training Specialist reports to the Manager of Product Training and will play a crucial part in supporting the broader organization through a variety of organizational and analytical tasks. Preference will be given to Tucson area-based applicants. RESPONSIBILITIES: Creates, writes, records, edits and organizes technical & non-technical training, along with documentation material, including manuals, knowledgebase articles and videos. Conducts web-based training sessions on Simpleview’s products for employees and clients with minimal supervision and guidance from the Manager of Product Training. Attends on-site training sessions to assist lead trainer with notes and follow up items while preparing to run an initial on-site training session on one’s own. Supports creation of client-facing tips for product usage and product release articles. Supports production of Simpleview product webinars by suggesting and providing content, as well as hosting sessions. Develops training-focused sessions at Simpleview Summit and other travel-related trade shows; when necessary, serve as the Simpleview representative at such trade events. Maintains knowledge currency -- including by attendance of periodic seminars and meetings -- regarding training and instructional methodologies, including technology. Serves as a subject matter expert and builds expert content, for Simpleview’s certification program, Brainery, to include the learning management system and course content. Assists various departments, such as Sales, Customer Experience, Operations and Human Resources, with meeting client and employee training needs. Assists with scheduling and conducting onboarding sessions for Simpleview employees. Attends scheduled product support meetings. Supports and provides input to the design of new training plans and curriculum. Tracks, collects and compiles assessments for statistical analysis and reports. Attends meetings with Simpleview departments to learn about upcoming projects, campaigns and requirements. Assist with the department's production and support needs, including content/data entry and migration, as well as answering client questions via the Simpleview Client Portal. Supports sales demos, initiatives and opportunities using subject matter expertise. As assigned, supports the completion of customer support tickets and escalations. Demonstrates live examples in product presentations. Develops and maintains thorough knowledge of Simpleview, the destination management organization (DMO) industry Develops and maintains a basic understanding of Simpleview’s entire software suite . REQUIREMENTS: A formal degree is not a requirement. Prior experience as a trainer or educator or previous experience within the SAAS, technology, digital marketing or destination marketing industries is highly desirable. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time is a non-negotiable requirement; must be able to acquire and keep a U.S. Passport and travel both domestically and internationally Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to work both autonomously and collaboratively Ability to quickly develop and maintain mastery of multiple complex knowledge areas Able to effectively transfer knowledge to individuals and groups in person and electronically Able to communicate effectively and work efficiently with internal staff and departments Highly developed documentation skills — technical writing skills are not required but are helpful. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and/or G Suite In addition to the above requirements, the following characteristics, knowledge areas and skills are highly desirable and indicate a highly qualified candidate: Basic understanding of writing and editing HTML Experience with customer relationship management products and systems, such as Salesforce, HubSpot or Zoho. Experience with e-learning software, such as Camtasia, and basic learning technologies (e.g. webinar tools). Experience developing job aids, online tutorials and/or other training materials for technical positions. Applicable and professional experience in the tourism or technology industries. Basic understanding of operations and practices by destination marketing organizations. PERFORMANCE METRICS: Attendance: arriving or logging in to work on time and participating in meetings.
