CONNECTICUT GREEN BANK ASSOCIATE MANAGER, ENERGY STORAGE SUMMARY : The Connecticut Green Bank (hereafter "Green Bank") is seeking an Associate Manager to support its growing energy storage team. Green Bank, a quasi-public authority, is the nation's first state-level "Green Bank," leveraging public funds to increase and accelerate private investment in the green economy of Connecticut. Working at the Green Bank means being part of a dynamic team of talented people who are passionate about implementing the green bank model, stimulating the growth and development of clean energy and environmental infrastructure investment in Connecticut, and growing our economy, strengthening our communities, and protecting our environment. The Associate Manager will support the implementation and management of the Green Bank's Energy Storage Solutions program ("ESS"), a new program designed to help Connecticut ratepayers install energy storage at their home or business. This position will work closely with internal teams (Finance, Legal, Operations, Marketing) and external stakeholders (utilities, installers, regulators, government staff, etc.). The Associate Manager will support all aspects of the program, including participant acquisition, application processing, project completion, upfront incentives calculation and processing, regulatory proceedings, and on-going performance monitoring. They will also help to identify other opportunities for the Green Bank to further support the deployment of energy storage financing solutions, particularly in vulnerable and underserved communities. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES : Individual responsibilities may include: Supporting the ongoing operations, and managing the design, of Green Bank incentive programming including but not limited to battery storage incentive programs; Working closely with Salesforce development vendor(s) to design, maintain, and implement an Enrollment Platform for the ESS Program; Working closely with Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS) providers to track and monitor performance of projects enrolled in the ESS Program; Collaborating with the Green Bank Marketing team to develop strategies to increase awareness of and participation in incentive programs and projects; Working closely with contractors, equipment manufacturers, property owners, and other key stakeholders to implement and improve the ESS Program through program training opportunities, outreach, and inquiry responses; Managing aspects of, and tracking, regulatory proceedings required to keep the ESS Program in compliance with the PURA program objectives and deployment targets; Representing the Green Bank to the public in speaking engagements including webinars and in-person events; Supervising Green Bank staff including associates and assistants, as applicable; and Related duties as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED : The following minimum qualifications in knowledge, skill and ability are required: Solid knowledge and experience in clean energy and/or clean energy policy; Ability to work in a team environment as a lead contributor, manager, and facilitator; Solid knowledge of business operations and general management including supervisory experience; Demonstrated ability to understand various scientific and finance-related energy principles and applications, and integrate those concepts into the overall project, program, or CGB; Ability to work with external stakeholders including strong facilitation, negotiation, and coordination skills; Considerable interpersonal skills, as well as oral and written communications skills; Ability to market the benefits of clean energy financing products to potential customers; Knowledge of State and Federal energy policies and regulations that support clean energy; and Working knowledge of Salesforce is highly desirable. EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING : General Experience: Minimum four (4) years employment experience with demonstrated responsibilities related to the qualifications outlined above. Substitutions Allowed: A bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university granted in environmental science, sustainability, public administration, or related field may be substituted for two (2) years of experience. A master's degree in a related field may be substituted for one additional year of the general experience. The Green Bank will determine if this position will be filled at the Senior Associate, Associate Manager, or Manager level based on the experience and qualifications of the individual selected.
