POSITION DESCRIPTION & OVERVIEW Title : Associate Director of Housing Services Reports To : Director of Scattered Site Housing Schedule : Mon-Fri, Daytime Flexible Compensation : $70,000-$73,000 DOQ Job Classification : Full Time, Salaried Exempt Union Representation : This position is not a union represented position. The Associate Director of Housing oversees the programmatic activities and budgets for the Single Adult Supportive Housing, Family Supportive Housing, Rapid Rehousing, and Early Intervention programs. This position supervises Housing Support Coordinators and is responsible for developing and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with a variety of community partners with a particular focus on providers in the Housing Support community. PRIMARY DUTIES AND EXPECTATIONS Provide leadership and support to the staff providing permanent supportive housing services and housing location services to people experiencing homelessness. Develop and implement a robust, agency-wide housing location program. Provide ongoing supervision for Housing Supports Coordinators. Identify ways, with staff and the Director of Housing, to coordinate program services, improve services, problem-solve, and develop client resources. Establish and maintain active working relationships with community partners and funders. Represent Agate in meetings with other agencies, businesses, government, funders, and community partners. Manage the financial resources of the programs within the budget. Ensure quality file keeping and case documentation by direct service staff. Oversee program reporting, ensuring that programs are on track to meet contractual goals. Ensure that services offered are compliant with Federal, State, and County guidelines, and contract requirements. Respond to changing community needs, and incorporate best practices throughout the programs. Ensure that required evaluation systems are in place. Other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION Sedentary work - Sitting most of the time with occasional walking and climbing stairs. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Five years' experience supervising staff working with people experiencing homelessness Licensed social worker at the graduate level (LGSW or LISW) preferred. Knowledge of and experience working with Housing Support and Minnesota Housing Trust Fund Subsidy programming. Fluency in languages used by our clients (Spanish, Amharic, Oromo, Somali, ASL) preferred. Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Demonstrates skill in understanding of cultural differences. Passionate about working in an organization that values and promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills. Must possess basic computer skills. Ability to establish rapport quickly with people experiencing a crisis through use of trauma informed care, client centered care, and strengths-based approaches. Ability to meet expectations regarding paperwork and documentation through organizational skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently and accurately, competency and comfort using technology and computers. Experience that gives applicants the required skills, abilities, and perspectives listed above are commonly gained through one or more of the following: Personal experience with homelessness; Experience working, interning, or volunteering with people experiencing homelessness; An Associates, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Social Work (with accompanying licensure), Human Services, or Family Studies. This position requires use of your own personal vehicle for Agency business and will be required to maintain liability insurance coverage of at least $100,000 per person and $300,000 per occurrence. In addition to criminal background studies, applicants must have a valid Driver's License and pass a driving record background check. AGENCY COVID-19 REQUIREMENTS Agate Housing and Services maintains a COVID-19 preparedness plan that mitigates the transmission and spread of COVID-19. Programs also maintain practices to ensure the safety of staff, clients, residents, and community members. With that, Agate Housing and Services is requiring all new employees, volunteers, interns to show proof of full vaccination upon onboarding.
