The Office is the primary physical space to welcome current and prospective students and other visitors to the college, and provides guidance and support to students through recruitment, admissions, advising, assessment, and student engagement.About the Position:The Associate Director for Graduate Recruitment and Admissions is responsible for managing and coordinating graduate recruitment activities such as developing recruitment plans in partnership with program specific faculty and support the graduate admissions functions for CPH. The Associate Director works closely with college academic departments, CPH Marketing and Communications Office, the Central Office of Graduate Admissions, and external enrollment management partners. They assist in the development of intentional approaches to engage graduate students from a range of backgrounds and support opportunities to foster graduate student engagement with CPH.Responsibilities: * Supervises day-to-day operations and staff of the CPH Office of Graduate Admissions; Manages graduate admissions operations to ensure timely processing of applications; Develops calendar of strategic recruitment opportunities in collaboration with CPH academic units, CPH Leadership, OGA, and Graduate Education; Leads and coordinates graduate recruitment activities and supervises and supports the graduate admissions functions for the college; * Serves as the primary contact to CPH academic departments on all issues related to graduate admissions processing and training, using Salesforce TargetX and CAS Systems; Develops communications plans for prospective graduate students with specific plans for each program and special populations of students (e.g., first-generation, URM, Pell-eligible students); Works closely with CPH units to plan/increase enrollment targets each semester; Identifies opportunities for increased graduate student engagement in the college after admission (e.g., orientation, newly admitted events, graduate workshops); Serves as the admissions liaison to external partners for CPH online graduate programs; Collaborates with external enrollment management partners on marketing and admissions strategies; Schedules and facilitates in-person and online information sessions for prospective graduate students; Represents the college at the university Graduate Recruitment Advisory Committee (GRAC) and GAGAA; Assesses the effectiveness of graduate recruitment strategies; Reviews and shares weekly graduate admissions reports produced by the Graduate Admissions Coordinator; Updates the graduate admissions website, information session presentations, graduate applications and program information materials; and * Assists with and participates in all other college and university activities supported by the CPH Office of Student Affairs including the awards ceremony and the college convocation; Supports college and university in all student retention activities. Required Qualifications: * Master's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of related education and experience; * Demonstrated experience in admissions, recruitment, advising, or in an academic environment is required; * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; * Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills; * Ability to use an electronic database to track applicants through the admissions process; * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and with a diverse community of faculty, staff, and students; * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; * Ability to effectively balance strategic planning with managing day-to-day inquiries and tasks; * Highly organized and self-disciplined; and * Must currently possess an appropriate, active, valid motor vehicle operator's license that meets all of GMU's requirements for operating state vehicles and equipment under Mason's Vehicle Use Policy 1411 https://universitypolicy.gmu.edu/policies/vehicle-use/. The Office of Risk Management reserves the right to review the driver's licenses and Motor Vehicle Reports (MVRs) of all candidates selected with employment contingent upon a favorable review. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with graduate recruitment and admissions; * Banner and Salesforce TargetX experience; * Supervisory experience; and * Familiarity with CPH graduate programs.
