What we do The group innovates, structures, and distributes cross-asset solutions for the Bank across the breadth of our institutional clients. Collaborating with multiple groups in FICC and leveraging the breadth of expertise across these desks, we aim to understand the inherent drivers/restrictions of our client's business to structure tailored solutions that solve their issues using capital markets and banking products. Internal Stakeholders we frequently work with span the gamut of Sales & Trading (Collateral Management & Funding, Asset Backed Securities, Credit and Rates). Given the innovative nature of our transactions, we work with a range of touch points at our clients including Chief Investment Officers, Heads of Fixed Income and Portfolio Management. Purpose: The successful candidate will focus on our distribution efforts for Fixed Income and Alternative Investment Solutions to Institutional clients within Canada. The candidate will be involved in the various workstreams on the trade floor including analysis, documentation, legal, capital, booking and systems across various products. This role entails working with a range of clients, including Insurance companies, Pension funds, Sovereign wealth funds, Asset managers and other Institutional clients to gain various exposures via indexes, total return swaps, structured products, rates / credit derivatives and a variety of other cross-asset tools. The candidate will work closely with our various Derivatives and Structured Trading desks to create solutions to accommodate complex or unique client outcomes. The new hire will be involved from initial identification of client opportunities and pitching for transactions through to final deal execution.
