OVERVIEW OF ROLE : The Associate Brand Manager will assist in managing the Hot Dogs and Sausage business in the C-store, Foodservice, and Retail channels. This will include leading the development and implementation of marketing strategies and plans for existing and new products across all channels. This individual is accountable for leading product development projects by working closely with research and development, sales, finance, and operations. This role will be based in our corporate headquarters in Needham, MA and follow our hybrid work model: three days working onsite and two remote working days . ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops and implements strategies and plans to achieve business goals for the Hot Dogs and Sausage category in all business channels Oversees the P&L for product development projects via collaboration with Finance Leads cross-functional teams to ensure key initiatives are executed with excellence Leads new product development process including identifying consumer insights, creating product positioning, assessing market potential, and collaborating with other functional areas to quickly bring new products to market Prepares business goals and marketing plans for new product/line introductions Identifies opportunities for product improvements, cost reductions and other ways to grow and/or improve business practices on an ongoing basis to ensure the company is maximizing its volume and profit opportunities with all key constituents Analyzes business results and marketplace dynamics to provide on-going marketing mix recommendations Participates in customer presentations as appropriate Work closely with Sales, manages ongoing competitive intelligence and translates that information into appropriate competitive responses Work with the Category Management Team, assists with the development and production of sales support materials Coach sales personnel on how to incorporate consumer insights/research into sales presentations Manages all aspects of consumer understanding including syndicated data, custom consumer research, product research and market intelligence Ensures brand equity and message are consistent throughout all consumer and customer support efforts Work with the Field Marketing & Sales Operations Managers, assists in the development and communication of effective customer specific marketing strategies Manages social media strategy and content Manges website content Create and execute marketing content for sponsorship partners for Eisenberg brand Manage budget for the Hot Dog and Sausage category EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: MBA in Marketing or related field 2-5 years consumer packaged goods marketing/brand management experience, ideally in a food manufacturing environment Experience developing consumer and trade marketing objectives and translating these into functional strategies and tactics Very strong experience managing projects and/or leading a team in a cross-functional environment Proficiency with syndicated data (Nielsen/IRI) Very strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize projects and produce high quality and quantity output that adds value to the company Strong quantitative and analytical skills Preference for experience across multiple channels, i.e., Retail, Foodservice, C-store, Deli, etc. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The below physical demands are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time. The person in this position need to occasionally move about inside the office to access meeting rooms, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.
