JOB TYPE & EXPERIENCE We have room for two lawyers at our firm, someone who wants a better work/life balance and wants to take home more of the money that they are earning and collecting from clients. We pride ourselves on providing excellent legal counsel in a safe, non-judgmental environment. We are seeking ONE Family law attorney and ONE Bankruptcy/Tax Attorney. With our flexible platform we are currently interested in all levels of experience with or without clients to help build our growing practice. We work as a team in assisting clients. We coordinate marketing efforts and compensate fairly for production and new business generation. Our support staff is experienced, and value driven. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Reviews correspondence and files to determine if suit appropriate. Reviews answers and prepares discovery and dispositive motions. Manages all aspects of preparing for and conducting of trials. Attends court hearings throughout the state of Texas. Provide analysis and advises on legal and regulatory risks. Represents clients in pre-suit and post-judgement matters. Writes, reviews and edits reports, opinions, correspondence, articles and other documents. Makes reasonable efforts to resolve contested files in litigation Performs Post Judgment Investigations to aid in the enforcement of Judgments Other responsibilities as case requires or as assigned. Location: Greenway Plaza (Work from Home Allowed) Work Environment Our environment is a low-stress, low drama environment each of us are in charge of our own billable hours; We are an all-inclusive firm; we do not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identification, disability, age, status as a parent, status as a veteran, left-handedness or cat ownership. We have fun inside and out of the office, and believe an office environment should be the last place where you have to play politics. Qualifications Requires a background in civil litigation. Requires a JD in law; bar admission in Texas. Knowledge of federal, state and/or local laws with experience in collection law and/or significant courtroom experience. Must have the ability to work independently. Knowledge in Family Law, Bankruptcy Law, Tax Law, and/or the FDCPA/FCRA/TCPA. Managing shifting priorities in a fast paced, results driven environment is required.
