We offer our sommeliers $21/hour and works shifts on Tuesday - Sunday . Additionally, this beverage steward position is also eligible for an excellent benefits package . A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SOMMELIER This beverage steward position plays a vital role in the overall success of our food and beverage program. Through your education and experience, you organize and sell with for all food and beverage departments. You actively promote our wine and beverage programs through thought out wine events and tastings.With your personable personality you learn and address each member and guest by the appropriate surname and title. You communicate with members and guests that possess varying degrees of beer, wine, and cocktail knowledge. You make perfect pairing suggestions based on your vast food and beverage knowledge as well as the members' or guests' individual preferences. Additionally, you ensure that all wine is served in the appropriate and well-maintained glassware, and assist fellow fine dining team members when needed to ensure each dining experience is a memorable one.Behind the scenes, you assist the sommelier team in monthly wine inventory ensuring the wine cellar bins are up to date and free of errors. Furthermore, you eagerly demonstrate professional accountability through actively increasing your wine knowledge by studying and passing exams. You love that you are able to participate in all aspects of fine dining and feel honored to share your passion for wine each and every day! ASSISTANT SOMMELIER QUALIFICATIONS 2 or more years' experience in FOH fine dining An understanding of food and beverage pairings Ability to determine wine faults and proper service temperatures to showcase product at full potential Level 1 Court of Master Sommeliers Introductory Sommelier Certification preferred .
