Randstad C and P are currently recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work on various commercial schemes in Southampton The regional contractor are actively looking for a driven, determined professional with a background in construction and a minimum of 1+ years experience working on construction projects in a similar role. The opportunity boasrts providing successful candidate with an excellent onboarding scheme and trainnig plan, as well as hands: on first hand experience working on multi: million GBP schemes. Responsbilities: Research and identify potential suppliers, negotiating pricing, contracts, and terms. Place orders considering necessary lead times and track shipments for timely delivery. Sending out tender project packages for pricing. Tracking responses and updating project documentation. Conducting take: offs for materials, verifying quantities with requisitions and creating purchase orders. Manage scheduling of external and internal meetings with relevant parties such as suppliers, subcontractors, designers and more. Requirements: Good time management skills and an ability to organise and coordinate multiple concurrent projects. Strong analytical, and problem solving sklills, in addition to an excellent eye for detail. A proactive, driven individual with a desire to grow and learn more about the industry. Prior experience working in the construction industry in a similar position.
