Applicants must possess a doctorate in Civil Engineering by the date of appointment. Duties include:Responsible for teaching lectures, issuing assignments, conducting exams and assigning grades for graduate and undergraduate level course in the field of Civil Engineering; may conduct cutting edge research in the field of Civil Engineering, develop externally funded research programs resulting in publications in top tier journals and conference; attend and present at conferences across the US and world; supervise and mentor graduate and undergraduate students; serve on departmental, college, and university committees to improve department outreach; performs administrative duties within the department. UTA is a Carnegie Research-1 highest research activity institution. With a projected global enrollment of close to 57,000, it is one of the largest institutions in the state of Texas.
