Description:

Exclusively provides oversight and manages all parking operations and functions. Fully responsible for the complete operation of all assigned public and employee parking facilities for all related tasks in the absence of the General Manager. In the absence of the General Manager empowered to act in and for the Operator with complete authority to conduct, manage and oversee every phase of the Operator’s operation. Available during normal working hours or at such other times as the operational management of the Parking Enterprise may require. This position reports to the Senior Finance & Accounting Manager for Hudson, and for purposes of the project, the General Manager. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Capable of developing knowledge of Airport procedures, Operator’s Standard Operating Procedures, as well as industry standards and trends. Knowledge scope of operations includes but not limited to; Compliance with all Government Regulations Accounting Budgeting Financial reporting Auditing and revenue control Revenue enhancement Expense control Staff development Training Human resources Employee discipline Customer service Three (3) years’ of experience working in a union environment with the ability to settle grievances, negotiate contracts and represent the Airport’s best interest. Monitor and forecast demand to maximize revenue and minimize operational expenses. Manages the Site Manager as a direct report and assists with cashier personnel when the Site Manager is not on duty. Work as liaison between the Airport and public. Demonstrate the ability to consistently make appropriate decisions regarding the operation. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. Required to attend, participate, produce, and report on the multiple aspects of the operations as well as conduct meetings with various levels of the Airport. Experience and/or Education: Five years of executive parking management experience at a comparable facility preferred with: Similar staff levels Accounting requirements Automated revenue control systems Contract management and Complexity of other operational components. Certified Administrator of Public Parking (CAPP) certification is a plus Proven excellent organizational skills to include: Leadership Communication Teambuilding Three (3) years’ experience working in a union environment. Employee engagement and Process and procedure development skills. Educational background The Assistant General Manager must have a College Degree or equivalent experience. Performance Standards/Goals: Physical demands are representative of those primarily encountered in an office environment. Environmental factors are described as representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this job. Although 80% or more the functions are performed inside a typical office, regular exposure to job sites will occasionally expose one to extreme weather and noise levels.
