We're searching for an experienced Assistant General Manager to help our General Manager plan and oversee the hotel's day-to-day operations. When the General Manager is unavailable, you will be in charge of supervising personnel, dealing with client problems, and ensuring that our customers enjoy a 5-star experience. Our ideal candidate is enthusiastic about providing exceptional customer service while adhering to hotel budget and quality standards. A bachelor's degree in hospitality management and three years of managerial experience in the hospitality business are strongly preferred. Responsibilities: • Propose adjustments that will increase hotel profitability by assessing department performance and identifying issue areas• Create the yearly hotel budget in collaboration with the general manager and department heads, and assess and adjust performance throughout the year to stay profitable• Verify that all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, as well as any business or brand-specific policies and procedures, are followed• Support the general manager in the daily operation of the hotel to ensure that all guest service standards are met• Empower the human resources department to increase efforts for turnover management, employee motivation, and employee growth and retention by providing support • Follows procedures to ensure guest expectations are met consistently by each department of the organization.• new employee orientations and training• Participates in team-building to encourage open communication between staff members and management.• Maintains excellent guest relations and communication • Performs sales calls, advertising, and marketing to promote additional room sales for the property.• Facilitates positive public and community relations. • Assists Maintenance person in maintenance, repairs and grounds-keeping administration for all aspects of the property, including equipment• Enforces security and safety procedures, including training as well as record keeping of incidents and outcomes.• Participates in the system's educational events.• ·All other tasks and functions as determined by the General Manager and management company • Must be able to work all shift and cover shifts for employees that call in as well• Onsite Assistant Manager will oversee all aspects of hotel operations including: compliance to brand standards, promoting high guest satisfaction and bottom line profitability. Qualifications: • You must have 3 or more years of experience working in the hospitality field• You must have previous experience in a manager role overseeing a team, preferably in a hospitality role• Have superb communication skills, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills• This role requires a strong emphasis on putting the guest first and providing exceptional customer service• This position requires a high school diploma or GED, and a bachelor's degree with preference given to those with a hospitality management degree About Company: Newly renovated and rebranded as Quality Inn - Lees Summit by Choice Hotels.
