Penguin Recruitment is working with an independent, Devon: based Ecology consultancy. Theyre looking for a keen Assistant Ecologist to join them. This is a permanent position based in Devon. Your package includes: GBP22,000 : GBP26,000 per annum + bonus scheme Flexible working hours CPD Service 25 days holiday + bank holidays The company are a highly respected consultancy that offer nationwide services to a variety of clients. They offer bat surveys and other protected species surveys; Phase I and NVC habitat surveys; ecological impact backssments; and European protected species licence applications. This will be a fantastic opportunity for the right candidates to build on existing knowledge and skill sets, supported by motivated colleagues. Your main duties: Undertaking ecological surveys on a variety of species Report writing Project work To be successful you must have: A degree in a relevant subject and be a qualifying member of CIEEM or eligible for membership. Knowledge and experience of protected species legislation, ecology and surveys is desirable, including dormice, great crested newts, bats, reptiles, badgers, and phase I habitat/UK Habitats survey. Hold a full driving licence and your own car, to use when a company vehicle is not available.
