Assistant Director of NursingPleasant Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation facility in Stroudsburg, PA is actively recruiting for a full time Assistant Director of Nursing.The successful candidate will assist the Director of Nursing in the planning, organizing developing & directing of the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Services Department to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. Collaborates closely with other departments, medical profiles, consultants & organizations, to ensure optimal care of the residents' total regimen of care. Will provide the DON with information relative to the nursing needs of the resident & the Nursing Services Departments ability to meet those needs; assist the DON in determining staffing needs & selection of nursing personnel. Performs administrative duties & participates in surveys made by government agencies; reviews nurses' notes to ensure that they are informative & descriptive of care being provided.Must possess a current PA RN license & have graduated from accredited School of Nursing. Minimum 5 years' profile nursing experience in long term care setting & minimum 2 years' experience in nursing administration or related management position. Must demonstrate high level of leadership, organizational ability & communication skills. Knowledge of long term care policies, budgeting & personnel management.
