Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Plans and coordinates standards and procedures of food storage, food preparation and service, equipment and department sanitation, ordering and employee safety Consults with Dietician to ensure that the menus conform with nutritional standards, government regulations and internal procedures Reviews guests diet information and discusses requests, changes and inconsistencies with guest, staff and guest counsel Orders appropriate food and supplies Continually updates recipe selection and menu Inspects food, food preparation and storage areas Tastes, smells and observes food to ensure conformance with recipes and appearance standards Attends meetings with guests, employees, administration and regulatory personnel to discuss regulations, procedures, grievances and recommendations for improving food service Manages department budget, processes invoices to be given to administrator Manages dietary staff; hiring, training, disciplining, scheduling, approving payroll, performance appraisals, etc. Produces reports regularly or as requested to be used by administration Prepares hospitality trays for guests' family members May prepare or oversee the preparation of meals or snacks for departments upon request Exper ience Two years cooking experience preferred Previous supervisory experience preferred Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Food handler's permit CDM/CFPP certification Job Posted by ApplicantPro
