In our Deli areas we help customers with an unbeatable selection of meats, cheeses and specialty products. Assistant Deli Managers are responsible for performing all the duties and job functions of an experienced Deli Clerk. They must follow approved procedures for receiving product, price marking, and restocking cases to ensure quality protection, accuracy, and product rotation. They must follow all inventory control procedures to maximize product freshness, quality, turnover, and availability. They will assist customers and will properly merchandise products in display cases and price accurately according to company standards. Along with a passionate commitment to customer service, every Assistant Deli Manager must also use their time to develop employees while ensuring the department maintains the highest industry standards. The right candidate is confident but humble, able to continue to learn and is patient while working with varying skill sets under them. Must be dependable and reliable, having the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes; including nights, weekends and holidays.Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have at least 5 years' experience in deli department operations. Perform duties and responsibilities of the Deli Manager in their absence or upon their discretion Solve customer questions quickly, in a friendly and professional manner Supervise Deli service employees, protect quality, and provide customer service Have and show an outgoing and friendly personality along with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with our customers, taking special orders in-person and over the phone Operate a slicer, wrapping and cooking equipment; assisting in maintaining all equipment in safe working condition Have an active knowledge of products within all categories of the deli.
