Assistant Controller

Description:
Our manufacturing client is currently seeking an Assistant Controller.--This job will have the following responsibilities:Responsible for the monthly closing process, analytical review of plant financial statements as well as forecasting and budgeting at the plant levelReview and analyze data to identify actual plant manufacturing results versus established objectivesProvide support to develop and track additional cost savings opportunities and monitor progress of current initiativesCollaborate with senior level business unit professionals to provide insightful, data-driven analysis and supportExternal/Internal audit supportMonitoring of standard costs for accuracyAssist in the management of the physical inventory audit process Implement and ensure compliance of internal financial & operational controls and procedures and SOX related requirementsInventory control focused on eliminating monthly physical count variances, reduction of slow moving/obsolete write offs; managing inventory on a FIFO basis; coordinating a successful annual tagged physical inventoryControl and maintenance of fixed asset inventory to include annual fixed asset auditResponsible for financial closing process for assigned plant manufacturing locationsScorekeeper of Daily Trackers for labor and variable spend; ensure team has the tools and training to track their spend on a daily basis to optimize performanceWork with Plant lead team to develop annual plant operating budget and management presentation, monthly forecast updates and full year forecastsAnalysis of monthly operating variances with explanations to plant team and executive leadershipProvide day to day financial and operational supportPerform manufacturing variance analysisResponsible for developing plant standard costingReview and approve product standard costs reasonableness and correlation to plant operations--Qualifications & Requirements:Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance4-6 years in an accounting role within manufacturingAbility to multi task and problem solveAbility to work with multiple levels of the organization and promote teamwork between departmentsSolid MS Office skillsERP experience with SAP, MS Dynamics, JD Edwards, Ect. (SAGE experience a plus)Ability to analyze and measure specific parts of the P&L and offer improvements to senior leadership---Supports manufacturing issues, and troubleshooting as assigned**Interested candidates are encourage to email current resumes to jhoms judge.com**--UI 724287--
