Job Summary: Sheakley is currently looking for an Assistant Controller. The Assistant Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial reporting, budgets, cash management, billings, collections, commissions, and various accounting processes for Sheakley Uniservice, Inc. (Third Party Administrator for Ohio Workers Compensation and Modified Duty Onsite provider) and Sheakley Workforce Management Services, LLC. (Safety consulting, Safety staffing and Retirement/Flex Plan Administration Services) We offer employees a range of perks including but not limited to: Competitive Salary Health, dental, vision, and life insurance Additional insurance options: Critical Illness, Long-Term, Short-Term Disability, Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Employee Assistance Program, Legal Shield 401(k) savings plan with match after 1 year Continuous professional training and development 8 Paid Holidays Paid Vacation and PTO available A day off for your birthday and work anniversary Employee focused culture with appreciation events all year Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Financial Advisor to Business Leaders Preparation of monthly financial statements and reports Preparation of annual detailed budgets for all divisions Billing and billing adjustment review and approval Contract Administration Management Collections Management Employee and Partner Commission review and approval Cash management Collaboration with Operations and Sales Ad Hoc and Operational Reporting Audit/Review coordination Supervision of staff Backup for Staff as needed Education and Experience: Knowledge and skills at a level normally acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 7-10 years of financial accounting experience including overseeing accounting staff and all accounting processes. Skills, Specialized Knowledge and Abilities: Strong accounting technical and analytical skills related to monthly financial reporting, various billing methodologies-contract, flat fee and event based, complex commission structures and customer collections processes Experience working with operations, sales, marketing, and various business leaders Organization, attention to detail, flexibility and strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced multi Company and multi-department environment. Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality Ability to problem solve Ability to work without direct supervision and demonstrate considerable initiative Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Experience using accounting ERP systems Proficiency in Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics would be a plus Professional appearance and demeanor This job description is not intended to be all inclusive and the employee will also perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor and other management as required.
