A Brief Overview Within the Protocol Support Office of the Center for Childhood Cancer Research this role will provide centralized financial management activities and research regulatory related services to support clinical investigators and study team members.The centralized support will have an emphasis on trial activation related to budgets and contracts for all applicable studies conducted under the auspices of the CCCR within the Division of Oncology.Responsibilities will also include regulatory support for Oncology Investigators related to financial applications, submissions, reviews to include relevant budget correspondence and other key communications with internal and external stakeholders. Related responsibilities include entering, tracking and maintain data into relevant divisional and institutional systems, such as OnCore, and other financial management systems utilized in Oncology Clinical Research.Candidate should have working knowledge of clinical trial budget creation and budget management and an understanding of federal and non-federal research protocols, cost planning, regulatory issues, finance, computer software needs and spreadsheet management. What you will do Serve as the primary budget resource for a clinical project, working with the Principal Investigator (PI), Study Coordinator (SC), Accounting and Ancillary Departments involved with the study. Assist team with feasibility assessment of study and verify Ancillary Departments can accommodate. Encouraged to gain a working knowledge of CPT coding. Under moderate guidance/supervision, the candidate will assist in resolving problems related to federal and non-federal clinical trial budgets, proposed subject billing, milestones and related payments. Work with the CTFM office on completing pricing requests, researching fees and code selections and drafting budgets. Education Qualifications Associate's Degree Required Bachelor's Degree Preferred Experience Qualifications At least one (1) year financial experience. Required At least one (1) year clinical, research or healthcare related financial experience Preferred Skills and Abilities Successful performance in a high-intensity work environment. Excellent problem identification and problem solving skills. Teamwork skills Flexible Detailed Ability to handle multiple tasks. Excellent interpersonal communication, organizational and managerial skills. Software experience, including word processing, spreadsheet and database applications. Demonstrated ability to work with other departments to coordinate and achieve goals. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of personnel records.
