The effective date of the appointment is tentatively planned for summer of 2024. The successful candidate will contribute to the academic mandate of the Hospital and University through scholarship, research, education, and creative professional activity. We seek a Surgeon-Investigator who will contribute in meaningful and tangible ways to the academic impact Division of Urology and Department of Surgery at Michael’s Hospital and the University of Toronto. The candidate must be eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or higher in the Department of Surgery, Temerty Faculty of Medicine. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate experience and training in the surgical and medical management of urolithiasis and endourology, advanced laparoscopic and robotic-assisted urologic surgery, renal transplantation and endoscopic prostate enucleation, at a level appropriate for an academic tertiary care referral centre. Excellence in clinical care, record of academic achievement, commitment to teaching and mentorship and life-long learning are pre-requisites. A demonstrated record of professionalism and collaboration is required and a key feature of the Department of Surgery. The successful candidate will contribute to the academic mandate of the Hospital and University through scholarship, research, education, and creative professional activity.
