Job Title Area Service Manager (South Zone) Job Description As an Area Service Manager you will have direct responsibility for leading, managing, and coaching a team of Biomedical Engineers and Site Leads supporting large comprehensive and geographically dispersed multi-vendor sites at hospitals in the South to include parts of Alabama, Arkansas, Louisianna, Mississippi and Texas. Your role: Effectively recruit, onboard, and integrate new hires onto team. Create a team environment that fosters a common purpose at the BMET level, and promotes job satisfaction, customer focus, and increased productivity. Develop and implement service strategies to achieve customer loyalty. Manage customer relationships and effectively partner with Sales counterparts. Drive accountability within your team to ensure that all operational metrics are met. Own and drive financial business results for region to meet/exceed AOP targets for Revenue, CM Rate, and Gross Margin Develop business plans to drive growth and productivity while improving efficiencies and controlling expenses (i.e. reduced Material, Labor, and Purchased Services spend) You're the right fit if: Specific experience managing Biomedical Engineering resources You reside with the territory, within 1-hour travel time from a major airport. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, including 5+ years leadership experience and/or project management experience. Strong working knowledge of state and federal regulations with the ability to ensure department readiness for state and the Joint Commission or DNV inspections. Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively in a team-based organization and with management and individuals across all department and organizational levels. Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, organizational structure, and current trends. Capable of making commitments, setting priorities, and delivering results on time and on budget. Experience in project management and change management. Demonstrated ability to motivate, lead, coach and develop direct reports. Ability to travel extensively to customer sites, zone office or identified locations for meetings, training, and business needs.
