Are you motivated, energetic and ready to take your career to the next level? The Design Group is looking for an Architect Intern to join our team in Maumelle, AR. The applicant will collaborate professionally in a team environment with project managers, senior architects and senior level staff on Multifamily Housing, Commercial Properties and Storage Facilities. An internship in architecture is the steppingstone before you receive your professional architect's license. The Design Group is an equal opportunity employer. What you can expect as the major duties and responsibilities : Assist with drawing plans of structures using computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software Build models and prototypes of buildings Draft specifications for building materials, construction methods, quality of materials and processes and other project details Assemble plans, documents and other information to be used in permit applications Research applicable building, zoning and land development codes Obtain information on feasibility and quality of proposed materials Help senior architects with project and contract administration, including evaluation of work for compliance with plans Other duties as assigned You may be a good fit if you have these skills and qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Architecture is required. Proficiency in AutoCAD Design and technical detailing experience Read and Interpret Construction Drawings. Excellent communication skills and detail oriented Self-motivated and adaptable We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we are not able to sponsor visas.
