Do you have an interest in working for the Peoria Park District as the Aquatics Manager II? Apply online today. Salary range $36,000 - $44,000.We are one park district, one community. Lifeguard recruitment: recruit, coordinate, train, supervise, and evaluate staff. Continue to evaluate work activities and assure that staff maintain safe and effective aquatic facilities at all times. Develop a comprehensive "Safety Around Water" program/initiative to be presented to area children. Seek out community members to be able to adapt this community-based safety program. Assist in the planning, organizing, and supervision of the department's aquatic programming to include but not limited to, swim lessons and special events. Assist in all aspects of operations/general custodial/light maintenance for all aquatic facilities such as: The AquaPlex, Gwynn Family Aquatic Center, and Proctor Pool. Perform all essential lifesaving functions and CPR skills in the event of an emergency. Maintain all emergency and training equipment in good working order. Order supplies when deemed necessary. Follow all safety procedures that pertain to the duties performed and support all aspects of the Park District's safety program. Conduct yearly EAP facility drills. Assist in preparing budgets and other essential reports. Fill in as a lifeguard/swim instructor when necessary for operations or to increase the level of customer service provided.
