At Building Services, we support the efficient use and care of government owned buildings ranging from offices, to justice centers. As the apprentice, you are just one of the key players who support the overall safety and efficiency of our infrastructure. About Our Opportunity As the Carpenter Apprentice, you will assist the Carpentry Superintendent or the Carpenter Foreperson in inspecting, maintaining, repairing, renovating and/or installing architectural components and systems in provincially owned buildings, including the Northeastern Nova Scotia Correctional Facility. Primary Accountabilities As the Apprentice, there’s no worry about doing the same thing day in, day out. At Public Works, things are always changing, no two days are alike, and every job is different. You will have ample opportunity to work on a diversity of tasks, including repair, maintenance, and new installations relating to foundations, and wall, ceiling and floor construction.
