In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in Enterprise database design, particularly within the Oracle stack, to design and develop a robust database for managing observing site metadata. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in Enterprise database design, particularly within the Oracle stack, to design and develop a robust database for managing observing site metadata. Working collaboratively with other developers and stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and security of the database, while also optimising user tools for enhanced functionality. Title: Database Designer - Oracle Pay Rate: £575 per day Skills: Design and develop complex databases, preferably using Oracle. Write and optimise SQL statements, PL/SQL code, and Apex applications to facilitate user interactions. Ensure data integrity, security, and performance of databases. Collaborate with other developers and stakeholders to gather requirements and develop solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a dynamic environment. Support and provide technical advice on Oracle technologies, promoting best practices within the team. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in database design and development. Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and Apex. Experience with database design, performance tuning, and security. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
