Amida is looking for a talented API Developer with some UI/UX experience to lead the design and implementation of a backend data orchestration API. This tool will process event log data and serve it to real-time and analytical dashboards to track use of an analytics platform. What Will You Do? This role will require novel work to develop an API to help users track the use of a rich catalog of information about data structures and definitions. Senior executives will use these dashboards to inform their strategic technical and business decisions and a successful developer will be able to solicit requirements from users to logically model and structure event data to support long-term development. In this role, the applicant will design and develop a cloud-based data orchestration API leveraged by senior executives and administrators to guide the maturation of the agency's data analytics capabilities. This includes gathering user stories from potential customers, helping to formulate technical and non-technical requirements, and generating data models to line up with design wireframes and user interaction flows. Other Duties and Responsibilities include: Develop data orchestration APIs that cross reference event logs with tables of rules and policy requirements, reporting the results to user-facing dashboards, and providing information to automated enforcement and data cataloging tools. Provide input on the structure and design of an enterprise-wide information model to establish coherency of data use throughout the agency. Aid in defining the technical specification for dashboards and the solution architecture Work with a multidisciplinary team to establish necessary domain and technical understanding Required Skills and Experience: Bachelors Degree and 5+ years of experience in development Experience designing user dashboards to present complex or multi-dimensional data Experience with data architecture and data modeling Experience with serving back-end data to support analytics capabilities using PowerBI, Tableau, or equivalent tool Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience team with diverse backgrounds and experience.
