Here's a comprehensive job description:Job Overview:Manage antitrust litigation cases from inception to resolution.Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.Analyze documents, deposition transcripts, and other discovery materials.Assist with trial preparation and participate in courtroom proceedings.Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and case law developments.Duties:Handle all aspects of antitrust litigation cases, including drafting complaints, answers, motions, and briefs.Conduct legal research and analysis on antitrust issues.Prepare and respond to discovery requests, including document production and interrogatories.Assist with deposition preparation, witness interviews, and trial preparation.Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff to achieve case objectives.Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.3-5 years of experience practicing antitrust litigation at a reputable law firm.Strong understanding of antitrust laws, regulations, and legal principles.Exceptional legal research and writing skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.Skills:Substantive knowledge of antitrust laws and litigation procedures.Strong legal research and writing skills.Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop effective strategies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
