The Data Analyst will serve as a member of a team that is responsible for the strategy, design, implementation, development, and support of the company's data warehouse, data lake, Power BI reporting platform and various other data assets across the company. Primary Accountabilities Work with stakeholders to understand business processes, document requirements and define reporting solutions. Define, create, and maintain Power BI Certified Data Sets. Write SQL queries and reports to extract and manipulate data from multiple relational databases. Create reports and dashboards including data visualizations in Power BI. Perform discovery and profiling of new or undocumented data sources. Integrate disparate data sources into unified Power BI models. Develop data transformations using Power BI. Meet deadlines for individual and team projects. Maintain technical documentation and source control related to project design and implementation. Respond quickly to resolve application issues. Other duties as assigned. Secondary Accountabilities Other duties to support a collaborative approach to managing IT responsibilities as required Position Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or equivalent relevant experience 5+ years' experience developing reports, dashboards, visualizations in one or more BI tools 3+ years Power BI development experience Highly proficient with SQL coding; experience using advanced concepts (windowing functions, complex joins) Highly proficient with Power BI report and dashboard creation, data modeling/integration, visualizations Familiarity with dimensional data modeling and Kimball data warehousing concepts Ability to understand query optimizer plans to identify processing bottlenecks and improve performance Experience in using Azure SQL and Azure Synapse SQL pools Understanding of Agile application development methodologies; Azure DevOps a plus Personal Skills Ability to collaborate in a remote worker environment Excellent verbal and written skills Self-direct to complete assignments within a specified timeline Team-focused Gibraltar is an Equal Opportunity Employer; and considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, creed, gender, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, marital or veteran status, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected status.
