Closing Date: January 5, 2023 Reporting to the Manager of Coal Business Planning, the Analyst, Business Planning is responsible for coordinating the annual Business Planning Cycle, including the Five-Year and Life of Mine plans (LOM) for our Coal Business Unit. In addition, you will provide economic support and analysis to various special projects. You will travel to our different sites and offices in the Elk Valley and Calgary. To be successful, we are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills who can think strategically while considering large scale perspectives. This person can work with minimal guidance and prioritize contending demands in a fast-paced environment. Outstanding analytic, problem solving and decision-making skills will be vital in this position. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with both our Coal and Corporate groups to coordinate the Business Planning Cycle. You will also get to work with our operations as well as senior management, gaining an understanding of what the organization is doing as a whole and where Coal fits within that picture. This is an exciting opportunity to build knowledge of the mining industry and become a key financial resource for strategic decision makers. This is also the perfect role for someone eager for opportunities for growth within the financial team, including a potential rotation within the Elk Valley mine sites.
