We are currently looking for an Analysis and Reporting Accountant. Reporting to the Director, Analysis and Reporting, the successful candidate will be responsible to: Prepare internal and external financial reports including grant reporting. Participate in the budget preparation process. Provide departmental support with budget forecasting and analysis for decision making within the County. Assist with policies, procedures, and administrative directives. Assist with year-end, including completion of working papers, reconciliations, journal entries, tangible capital assets set-up, preparing draft financial statements and financial information return. Participate in software implementation. Maintain current knowledge of GAAP, PSAB, government program, and regulatory reporting requirements, and advise/implement as required. Perform other related finance duties as assigned Requirements for this position include: CPA designation is required, a combination of other relevant education and experience may be considered. Experience in Municipal Government is an asset. Excellent accuracy, numeric, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Experience working in a team environment, and effective interpersonal skills. A good understanding of/experience in municipal accounting and reporting practices and standards, and of the Municipal Government Act, would be an asset. Ability to plan, organize and complete projects with minimal supervision. Familiarity with Serenic , Questica Budget, Caseware , Unit 4 and Tempest software is an asset...
