Hunton Services, a division of the Hunton Group ( www.huntongroup.com ), is seeking to hire an Indoor Air Quality Technician to join our team. The IAQ Technician will be responsible for the cleaning and servicing of Air Handling Units. Selected candidate must have experience with light commercial HVAC systems and/or cleaning air duct systems, as well as having experience in AHU refurbishing. Access, remove and clean air distribution components and equipment. Sell ancillary products and services in conjunction with performance of duct cleaning service. Prepare all job-related paperwork in a timely manner. Maintain an organized and well-stocked company vehicle. Complete AHU Refurbishing which includes (clean and sanitize AHU, filtration upgrades, coating of inside of AHU and replacement of coils, motors and bearings if needed); Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests. Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements. Keep personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. Document service and cleaning actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. Up-dates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications. Accomplish the Operation's and Organization's mission by completing related results as needed. Requirements : Technical/Trade School with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning related experience; or seven (2) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a good driving record. Must be reliable and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen. Basic understanding of duct mechanics and how it affects Indoor Air Quality, Mechanical experience is a plus. Physical Requirements : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. This position requires working outdoors, in mechanical/equipment rooms and possible extreme weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock (high voltage); and vibration.
