Job Title: Airport Equipment (GSE) Mechanic Company: Airline Maintenance Service Location: Nashville International Airport Job Type: Full-time Are you a skilled mechanic with experience in automotive and industrial equipment maintenance? Do you have a passion for working on equipment and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of critical machinery? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Airline Maintenance Service is seeking a talented mechanic to join our dedicated team. Responsibilities: - Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of airport ground support equipment (GSE) such as baggage carts, tugs, beltloaders, pushback tractors, and more- Conduct troubleshooting and identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system issues- Repair and replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication of equipment- Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities- Collaborate with team members to prioritize and complete work orders in a timely manner- Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and clients regarding equipment issues and repairs- Keep work area clean, organized, and safe- Adhere to all company policies and procedures Requirements: - Experience in automotive and/or industrial equipment maintenance- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems- Ability to work in outdoor environments and adapt to varying weather conditions- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail- Excellent time management and organizational abilities- Effective verbal and written communication skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, if required- Possession of own general mechanic tools Preferred Qualifications: - Previous experience working as an airport equipment (GSE) mechanic- Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and electrical systems- Certification or training in automotive technology, industrial mechanics, or related fields- Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools and software Why Join Us: - Competitive compensation package, including a competitive hourly rate and potential overtime opportunities- Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off- Ongoing training and professional development opportunities- Challenging and rewarding work in a dynamic and fast-paced industry- Opportunity for career growth within a reputable and expanding company- Join a supportive team of experienced professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional service to our clientsIf you have a proven track record in automotive or industrial equipment maintenance and are eager to contribute your skills, we want to hear from you!
