We are interviewing for a full-time Air Quality Senior Project Manager for our Denver office. Candidates should have at least 10 years' experience in air quality consulting or a related industry, and a minimum of 4 years of project management experience. Team leader experience is also preferred for this role. Position Overview Spirit is growing and we are looking to add a senior project manager to our air quality services team in the Rocky Mountain Region. This role will provide air quality consulting services to many of our existing clients within the energy sector, as well as clients in other industries we serve in the region. Applicants should have experience with most of the following: Clean Air Act, MACT, BACT, RACT, NSPS, and GHG regulations; State level air quality regulations in Colorado and other Rocky Mountain States; Emission calculations and the associated methods and systems (e.g., ProMax, GRI GlyCalc, AP-42 Calculations, GHG calculations, etc.); Emission inventory development in various States; Air quality permitting from true minor source up through major source permitting; Data systems commonly used by Oil and Natural Gas operators (e.g., Intelex ACTS or other similar systems); Big data tools and proficiency with some coding languages (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Python); and The ability to train other staff. Candidates should have experience managing tasks within the projects, scoping and budgeting for proposals, and communicating with internal and external clients to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Responsibilities: Additional responsibilities for this role include: Develop scope and budget on various air quality projects; Manage and complete projects as required by customers accurately and on time; Develop high quality work products and provide QC review of both personal work and work produced by team members; Effectively communicate information with internal and external customers; Develop and maintain trusting professional relationships with team members and our clients; Promote Spirit externally and help grow our services and revenue by marketing our services to potential clients; and Continue to learn and grow while also mentoring/training other team members. Skills: Spirit is a dynamic and entrepreneurial consulting firm. We are looking for new team members who have demonstrated technical acumen, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and strong interpersonal skills. Essential skills for this position include: Time management, problem solving, critical thinking, and decision making; Candidates should have excellent written and verbal communication skills; Fundamental math and science competencies (e.g., unit conversions, use of formulas, data evaluation); Proficiency with MS Office (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint) and time/expense tracking software; Proficiency with software and tools applicable to your project and areas of expertise (e.g., ProMax, GRI GlyCalc, AERMOD, and any other emission modeling tools); Advanced understanding of relevant regulations related to their tasks, projects, and client operations (e.g., CAA, MACT, RACT, BACT, NSPS, GHG and State level rules); Data systems commonly used by Oil and Natural Gas operators (e.g., Intelex ACTS); Big data tools and proficiency with some coding languages (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Python); and Depth of technical competencies necessary to solve problems and scope new jobs accurately and completely; and to work with multiple industries and/or multiple clients within a large industry (e.g., oil and natural gas, chemical manufacturers, solar and wind, building materials). Requirements: B.S. or above from an accredited college or university in an engineering or a related scientific discipline; At least 10 years of air quality consulting as well as 4 years of project management experience is required; Understanding of engineering concepts such as chemical processes and emissions control technologies; This role may require field work that can include climbing staircases, walking or working on uneven surfaces, and the ability to lift light loads; and This role may involve travel but is expected to be less than 10%. Per Colorado Pay Transparency Requirements (CEPA): This role is a salaried position with a typical range of $100,000 - $125,000 annually. Spirit bases all pay determinations on experience, skills, and performance. Spirit offers competitive salaries and outstanding full-time employee benefits.
