Aggregate Loader Yard Operator - Bismarck, ND Primary Responsibilities: Loader Operator for the start of the 2023 season - Operate a front end wheel loader in a safe manner, while loading trucks, maintaining aggregate stockpiles, maintaining haul roads and yard areas. This position is also responsible for performing routine machine maintenance. Working hours will vary and may include weekends. General Responsibilities: • Ensure strict compliance with safety, health, environmental, employment, management, and other company policies, procedures, and principles established by government agencies and Strata Corporation.• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.• Operate a front end wheel loader in a safe manner in a variety of situations and traffic conditions.• Perform routine maintenance including cleaning machine, daily service inspection, fueling, greasing, and cleaning bucket. Additional maintenance may be required as directed by supervisor.• Participate in safety efforts including identifying and reporting unsafe conditions and/or safety policy violations, and participating in safety meetings/training.• Participate in general plant and yard cleanliness and maintenance as directed by supervisor.Position is also expected to assist rail yard crew unloading aggregates from rail cars under the supervision of the rail crew foreman. This may include shoveling various types of aggregates, bending, lifting, cleaning cars, etc., other duties as requested. Applicant must be able to lift 75 lbs. Work hours are generally 10 hour days, but often exceed that during the end of the season reaching 70-90 hours per week at times.When assisting rail crew, general duties may include:• Prepare the pit and work area.• Unload cars. • Complete routine maintenance. • Complete shop work. • Install rail ties. PPE Loader Operators must wear a reflective vest and steel-toe boots at the work site.Rail Crew must wear a reflective vest, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots at the work site. Compensation: Compensation package is dependent upon qualifications and experience Must possess current valid driver license and pass pre-employment drug testing and background check.
