Family Services is strongly committed to protecting children and vulnerable individuals from abuse and exploitation. When traumatic situations occur, our staff is there to assist the individual or family with their journey of healing and recovery. Family Services cares for individuals who are isolated, abandoned or just need help developing the skills to live successfully. The Sexual Assault Center of Family Services provides services 24/7 to victims of sexual violence and their families and friends. The Sexual Assault Center provides sensitive services to all victims regardless of their age, gender, race, sexual orientation or disability. Crisis intervention, information and referral, counseling, follow-up assistance, medical, legal and personal advocacy, support group, as well as community education are among the services provided. Family Services' Sexual Assault Center is seeking an Advocate I that is responsible for providing direct services to victims including crisis counseling, advocacy, and support by delivering service that is trauma-informed, culturally competent, strength-based, and client directed . Duties include: answering the crisis line and responding to crisis situations as well as providing information and referral services; providing intake and assessment services for both in-person and over the phone; performing a daily review of cases and follow-up with peers to ensure that appropriate client follow-up is occurring as well as documentation; assisting with community outreach and education. Qualified applicants should possess a minimum of an Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience and experience working with sexual assault survivors or similar experience. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for this position. Candidates must also maintain 30 minute response time to downtown Green Bay for on-call shifts. Come join our team ! Enjoy a $3/hour shift differential while working 2nd, 3rd and all Weekend shifts.
