Adolescence Social Worker : LAC and Leaving Care A Local Authority based in the Merseyside region is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Adolescence team which works with service users above the age of 14 as well as those that are Leaving Care Highlights: The post is based in Merseyside and offers a good deal of flexibility with the opportunity to work from home as well as doing condensed hours. The manager is also able to accommodate flexi hours if you do have any prior commitments you will be able to work around these. The post will see you work with Young People above the age of 14 that are Looked After and placed through various means such a Residential, Friends and Families etc. You will also be working with service users that are Leaving Care and collaborate with them to create and update Pathway Plans whilst having the support of a Personal Advisor. Most placements are local and in the Merseyside region so you wont have to travel up and down the country saving you money and time. The post offers a very competitive rate of up to GBP41/Hr providing you the opportunity to increase income and have more disposable income to spend on things you enjoy Finally to help you settling into the role you will be given an induction period lasting around 4 weeks with a phased increase of cases so that you are not overwhelmed all at once and can get familiar with the system of work. Caseloads are also protected with members of the team holding no more than 14 cases on average. This is an excellent opportunity that will see you work directly with young people to help support them to Independence. Service users will be age 14 and above having been placed through a range of mechanisms such as Residential, Friends and Families etc. Most of the service users are also in the local region so you wont have to travel far saving you money and time.
