We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Waltham Forest to assist with the appointment of an Admin Officer without CRB , on a 2-month contract , highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay : £12.00 per hour PAYE Summary: To contribute to the effective operational management of the Legal Services team in order to deliver a high quality and cost-effective legal service. Responsibilities: Support the Business Manager in ensuring the operational use of all service resources by regularly reviewing working methods, systems and equipment. To produce statistical information, as and when required e. g. monthly, both from manual records and from the operational systems, and to maintain accurate records of the information produced. To deal with correspondence from court chambers and other providers regarding fee notes and undertake any follow up action effectively. Conduct all work in accordance with practice management standards laid down by the Law Society (Lexcel) and all other departmental and corporate performance standards in order to maintain a standard of excellence. Skills: Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing Ability to solve a problems with minimal supervision Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with senior managers and other officers Pro-active and have the energy, commitment and resolve necessary to get the job done Good IT skills to utilise work systems and Microsoft Office applications Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
