Adjunct Faculty – School of Nursing Clinical Instructor - Pediatric Nursing

Midland University, a private, liberal-arts college in Fremont, Nebraska, (just outside of metro Omaha) is seeking an exceptional clinical adjunct faculty member to teach one day a week in a clinical setting in the Omaha metro area for the Pediatric nursing course in the School of Nursing beginning in August 2023. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: collaborating with nursing course faculty and coordinating with hospital staff to prepare clinical assignments for a group of 6-8 students in a pediatric care setting. Onboarding to meet clinical agency requirements will begin upon hire. Qualifications: Unencumbered Registered Nurse License in the state of Nebraska or Iowa. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Pediatric Nursing Ability to meet clinical agency requirements, such as a background check, abuse check, drug testing, CPR, immunizations, health care insurance, etc. Ability to create relevant learning opportunities in the clinical setting that meet professional expectations and standards. The ideal candidate will possess the following: A desire to teach nursing students in a pediatric nursing care specialty. A willingness to collaborate with faculty peers. A genuine interest in student development. An ability to work with diverse student populations. Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to foster a collegial work environment that encourages change and innovation. An ability to interact effectively and work productively, cooperatively, and collaboratively with a variety of individuals and groups. Compensation/Benefits: Wages paid on a per course basis commensurate with education, experience, and individual strengths.
