Position Summary Concordia University seeks part-time Adjunct Faculty applicants for the Art Department to teach 3-D Modeling classes for the School of Arts & Sciences. This is a nine-month contract with the University. Adjunct Faculty fulfill the university's mission to help students develop in mind, body, and spirit for service to Christ in the Church and the world. Adjunct Faculty members advise and mentor students while serving as Christian role-models. This position reports to the Chair in the Art Department in the School of Arts & Sciences and located at the CUW Mequon, WI campus. The appointment will begin in the FALL 2022 semester upon the hiring of a suitable candidate and may be a renewable position. Specific areas that need to be filled include: 3-D Modeling M-W (2 sections) 3-D Design TBD Theater Tech (1 section) Job Duties & Responsibilities Teach 9 - 12 academic credits per year, or the equivalent Assist in student advising and mentoring Provide evaluation Responsible for meeting with assigned students throughout the semester Provides a quality learning experience for students on a semester basis. Adjunct faculty reports to the chair and performs instruction-related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies, and procedures of the university All other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Exhibits a willingness and ability to work with diverse individuals and organizations Demonstrates effective leadership, organizational skills, and is a self-starter Familiar with the university campus life Able to deal with interruptions and work in a fast-paced environment Able to present a Christian and professional manner Candidates should possess strong written and oral communications skills All candidates should possess an ability to meet deadlines Mastery in Sketch-up, blueprint drawing, and model building Requirements: Knowledge of Auto Cad and Adobe Illustrator - Photoshop a plus 5 Examples of previous work Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) Education & Experience Master's degree in Theater, Art, Interior Architecture or a related field required Previous teaching experience in a baccalaureate or higher degree program is preferred Physical Demands/Equipment (Click to View) Application Instructions To receive full consideration, all applicants are asked to complete and submit an online employment application through the Concordia University Employment page.
