QP Manufacturing is seeking ACME Conventional Machinists for a 1st or 2nd shift position at its Chardon, Ohio facility. QP is growing and we need your help to continue that growth. As one of the leading production centers in northeast Ohio, we have the capability of manufacturing precision components and assemblies using CNC turning, milling, multi-axis mill turning and other processes. We meet the needs of our worldwide customers and the demands of the ever-changing manufacturing industry. Essential Functions and Duties These are the primary responsibilities for an ACME Conventional Machinist: Set-up/ Programming on conventional ACME machines. Ideal candidate will be able to complete set-up process. Requirements: Prior experience on conventional ACME machines. Must have tools. Must perform well under low supervision. Must be familiar with typical measuring equipment. Must be able to read blue prints. Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand on feet for entire shift without extra breaks. Must be able to lift max of 30 lbs. repeatedly throughout day on a daily basis Other: 1st shift hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. 2nd shift hours are 3:30 pm to 12:00 am. Overtime available when conditions exist. Must be able to commute to this job's location in Chardon, Ohio We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. Drug free work environment.
