Accounts Payable Staff Accountant

Vaco is seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Staff Accountant to join afinance team. This role will involve handling accounts payable functions while also assisting with general accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow within a dynamic manufacturing environment while contributing to our company's success.Key Responsibilities: Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor reconciliations. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments while adhering to company policies and procedures. Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve payment discrepancies and address vendor inquiries. Maintain vendor records and update vendor information as needed. Assist with the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance department. Provide support for audits and compliance requirements as necessary.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. Proven experiencein accounts payable and/or general accounting roles, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software/systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle). Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cost accounting principles. Familiarity with manufacturing accounting processes and inventory management.
