As an Accounts Payable Risk Manager at Capital One you'll be responsible for working with business partners to identify and mitigate potential risks to Capital One. Risk Managers at Capital One are the front line of defense to ensure our Company remains stable and profitable.Risk Managers at Capital One are highly motivated Risk Management professionals with excellent organizational and communication skills. They have a high level of exposure across lines of business and have the opportunity to work with Executives to create and implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Company.Responsibilities:Serve as interdepartmental liaison, interfacing with lines of business and staff functions such as HR, Treasury, Procurement, and other areas of RiskGather data and reporting; perform initial analysis or potentially evaluate data provided by team analystsDesign and implement internal governance processesTake on operational leadership for our external/internal payments related to the Latin American ExpansionAct as project lead for future expansion projectsContinued analysis of end to end payment value stream with focus on identifying control gaps as new processes are implementedManage, implement and deliver on a subset of the program deliverablesOperational lead in our fast growing sales/use tax and interunit settlement spacesBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or military experienceAt least 1 year of Financial Services Risk Management ExperienceAt least 2 years working with AP/Interunit in foreign currenciesAt least 2 years of People Management experienceAt least 3 years of Project Management experienceAt least 5 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clientsPreferred Qualifications:At least 5 years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs in RiskAt least 3 years of Financial Services risk management experienceAt least 5 years of People Management experienceExperience with Sales Use Tax and Foreign Currency a plusReg W Knowledge and intercompany agreement experiencePMP Certification or Masters Certificate of Project Management (CPM)Ability to set direction, manage expectations and lead cross-functional teamsAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.Capital One offers a comprehensive, competitive, and inclusive set of health, financial and other benefits that support your total well-being.
