Nature and Scope The Accounts Payable Manager oversees all functions related to accounts payable transactions in adherence with payment deadlines and in accordance with Institute policy. This position will positively promote and create an environment that demonstrates SIIT's vision, mission, and mandate. General Accountability The Accounts Payable Manager is required to oversee the day-to-day activities of the accounts payable department to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate processing of invoices and payments. Providing expert and timely support to internal and external stakeholders is essential; as well as analyzing and verifying the accuracy of work in the accounts payable department. The Accounts Payable Manager is accountable to lead, train, and coach the Accounting Officers, in addition to guiding their daily work. Specific Accountabilities The Accounts Payable Manager plays a key role in efficient processing of payments to faculty and administration, suppliers, vendors and other third parties. In collaboration with the Director, Financial Operations, the Accounts Payable Manager ensures that effective, efficient, and compliant accounts payable practices are developed and maintained.
