Accounts Payable Clerk Summary American Hardwood Industries, located in Waynesboro, VA is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk . Accounting knowledge, reconciliation skills, and software proficiency are key requirements to be successful in this position. Accounts Payable Clerk Job Responsibilities: Code invoices to proper accounts and enter invoice detail into accounting software Verify and match invoices and other documentation necessary to process payments Prepare and distribute accounts payable checks Research discrepancies by communicating with vendors, consultants or employees and supervisors Assist with monthly and year-end close out procedures, such as preparation of 1099s Accounts Payable Clerk Job Requirements: An Associated Degree in Accounting or at least 4 years experience working with a computerized accounting system required Experience with Navision software preferred Must have high volume data entry skills Must have experience with 1099 reporting, sales tax exemption forms for multi-states and complex bank reconciliations Computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook Strong written and verbal communications skills Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Accounts Payable Clerk Pay & Benefits: Competitive Pay Full Time Hours Full Plan of Benefits ***Please refer to the "Full Job Description" button below to review our physical demands form prior to applying to this position.*** Federal and NY State Labor Laws https://www.baillie.com/images/NewYorkFederalComboEnglish.pdf
