Eraclides Gelman, a Southeastern law firm with offices in Florida, Georgia and Tennessee, seeks an experienced Accounting/AP/AR AssociatePosition Summary: Reviews and processes invoices as directed by Accounting Manager. Ensures invoices are coded properly Follows and ensures appropriate workflow processes specific to accounting Creating vendor records Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures Responds to vendor inquiries in a timely manner Other ad hoc accounting projects and reports Use various methods to add financial information to journals and ledgers Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned Reconcile discrepancies, and prepare correction documents as needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts Perform general accounting tasks, such as G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other ad hoc projects Accurately code documents with expenditure codes and accounting codes Support accounts payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing Utilize a number of sources to create statements and reports Assist Accounts Receivable with processing daily invoices/credit, applying cash receipts, and collecting past due balances. Skills Excellent analytical skills are required. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Strong in both written and verbal communication Experience with accounting databases and software preferred Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office products Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shift- Monday to FridaySalary commensurate upon experience.Powered by JazzHR
