Position Summary To provide support to the Controller in carrying out the responsibilities of the Accounting Department. Ensure proper application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) that includes analytical work and thorough review of financial records. Provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts. Handles and provides support for various HR employee programs within the organization. General Qualifications Education/Knowledge: BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Preferred Experience (required and preferred): 3-5 years of experience preferred, but applicants with degrees in accounting are welcome. Experience working with accounting ERP systems. Advanced experience utilizing Microsoft Excel. SAP knowledge/experience preferred Skills (required and preferred): Excellent analytical and organizational skills Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software Effective communication skills, encompassing verbal, written and presentation skills High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English. Physical Demands/Work Environment: Vision, hearing, and speech are required. Manual dexterity is necessary. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled. This position will be performed predominantly in an office setting This position may cause sitting for long periods of time Essential Functions Coordinate accounting matters with other departments Payroll reconciliations Reconcile significant general ledger accounts on a monthly basis Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports. Receive material on water in ERP and/or SAP system shipped from Vietnam and Korea Perform the Accounts Payable Function for the Carpet Division Provide financial analyses as needed. Maintain an orderly accounting filing system. Provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts Assists with month-end closings and inventory counts. New Hire processing, Changes in employee benefits processing. Coordinate calculations and billing for Employee benefits out on leave of absence. Provide resources to ensure integrity of Plant Human Resource Systems (i.e. Affirmative Action Plan, EEO-1) Process and coordinate Life & Disability benefits for active, out on leave, and retired associates Process and coordinate medical benefits for active, out on leave, and retired associates Types correspondence reports, prepares charts, and reviews and proofs correspondence Additional Responsibilities Assists with other staff responsibilities as needed. Performs the function of management accountant when necessary. Perform the duties of the Purchasing Agent when necessary. Performs other duties as required. Powered by JazzHR
